Welcome to the GI 2026

The 7th Annual International Scientific Conference on Geoinformatics — GI 2026 will be held on April 9–10, 2026, in Namangan, with paper submissions now open. Dedicated to International Earth Day and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the conference will focus on the theme “Geospatial Solutions for Natural Resource Management in a Digital World”. Peer-reviewed papers accepted for the event will be published in Scopus-indexed journals, and the conference is organized by Namangan State Technical University (NamSTU).

The main objectives of the conference are:

  • to facilitate knowledge exchange and collaboration among researchers, scholars, and practitioners in the field of geoinformatics;

  • to showcase the latest advancements, innovations, and research findings in geoinformatics and related disciplines;

  • to provide a platform for discussing current challenges, trends, and opportunities in the application of geospatial technologies;

  • to promote interdisciplinary research and collaboration across various sectors, including agriculture and water resources management and law, land use and management, geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, hydrotechnical structures, economics, IT, AI, hydro melioration, environmental science, urban planning, and disaster management;

  • to foster international partnerships and networking opportunities for researchers, institutions, and industry stakeholders;

  • to contribute to the development and implementation of sustainable geospatial solutions for addressing global challenges and societal needs;

  • to support capacity building and skill development among students, early-career researchers, and professionals in the field of geoinformatics;

  • to encourage the integration of geospatial technologies into decision-making processes for informed policy development and resource management;

  • to raise awareness about the importance of geoinformatics in addressing pressing environmental, social, and economic issues;

  • to promote the use of geospatial data and tools for achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and advancing societal well-being.

Paper submission
  1. Please prepare your paper (5–15 pages) in professional English, following the IMRAD structure as outlined in the provided sample. Ensure the content is thoroughly proofread.

  2. Submit your paper by emailing it to giconference.org@gmail.com.

  3. Wait for a confirmation email from the Committee regarding the status of your submission.

All submissions to the GI 2026 Conference will be reviewed, and after a thorough reviewing process, the registered and presented papers will be published in a journal indexed in Scopus.

Selected high-quality papers will be recommended for publication in a Q3 journal according to the SCImago Journal Rank (SJR).
